Yep. You've always been able to do that. No law will EVER change that either.

Then what's all the fuss about with people claiming the government is trying to take away our guns?

Perhaps because there is a finite amount of resale firearms on the market? Perhaps because even the ability to buy a used gun as described above is under attack? Perhaps because in some states, you need permission from the state to purchase any form of firearm? Perhaps because the BATFE, without warning or rationale will change the rules from day to day as to what they consider legal?

How about the fact that I can only buy a gun in the state in which i live? How about the fact that while there are federal laws in place to protect me if i am transporting my guns from one state to the next, these laws are routinely ignored and innocent behavior can get me jailed?
