wait a minute, do those bomb squads have the least bit of training in electronics? This reminds me of the bombsquads which blew up the boxes stamped with "PROPERTY OF U.S.G.S." on the side of them in Florida before a hurricane, because "they looked suspicious"

Its a circuit board and its not freaking attached to anything dangerous. Of course its freaking harmless.
I haven't read the rest of this thread, but this seems to be a good a time as any to add my two cents (x100)

First of all, I agree with you. the damned things were flashing picture-boards.

(shades of fearmongering jump to the conclusion that anything different is a threat)

Simplly Message boards (and tho there is no verification of this, there was a snippit that the same thing was done in other cities) Giving the finger to something or other.

There is even a demonstration of people in Boston because of the over-sensitivity of the Authorities.

I will grant you that the Turner network should also have been cognizant of the present tentions and not done anything so stupid, especially without notice to the City. Firthat fact alone, they should have to pay the costs encountered. Criminality????? "NAH". Stupidity??, "YAH", on both sides.
