They aren't stars of David. They are more than likely just stars that represent the states. Each star on the U.S. flag represents each state and members of Congress represent their states.

the stars that are on your flag are really different than those I've seen in that video in the State of the Union.
these are really like the stars of david (two triangulars one turned around)
Maybe in the bible these are also worshipped...?
