The problem for Democrats over the next couple of years is Iraq. Let's face it. That's why they won the majority in the first place. They ran on, "we need a change of course in Iraq". By side-stepping the issue while going to other things is going to make them weak over the next couple of years.

I find it very ironic, the very next day after elections, Nancy Pelosi was interviewed over the victory. Her stance on Iraq on that day, was to send more troops into Iraq to secure Bagdad. Her statement--"If we're in war, we need to put the pedal to the medal" in order to bring all of our troops home sooner. Well, as of today, since Bush has brought up sending more troops to Iraq, she now takes the exact opposite position & threatens to not fund additional troops.

IT'S THE SAME OLD POLITICAL GAME, AS ALWAYS!
