So you don't think choir boys getting their ass kicked in San Fran for singing the Star Spangled Banner is political? I'm guessing if a bunch of preps jumped a bunch of queers for being queer you would feel quite differently.

I don't think either one is an inherently "political" act - either way it sounds like people who are drunk behaving like criminals. I wouldn't feel differently either way because I don't base my code of ethics on partisan talking points. What surprises me is you favoring one over the other, since it's easy to see you admiring both groups.
