I don't think I'll live long enough to see it. In fact my children probably won't. The US will undoubtedly have to give up its position as the world's sole superpower. But there is no way to predict how many generations will pass before the US will be "just another country".
It's just a matter of a few decades, once the dollar is gone, we won't be able to get China to finance the military, so we'll have to reduce the military to a defensive force, Grover Norquist says a 70% reduction in the Pentagon budget should be the target.
On the bright side, we'll be able to export oil again, as US citizens will be priced out of that market.
