It's both sexist and anti-Republican.

Pictures convey a powerful message, and it's true that a picture is worth a thousand words. That picture of Bachmann makes her look like a deranged wacko. The picture is obviously intended to discredit her.

It's a cheap shot.

Would Newsweek have done that to a male candidate comparable to Bachmann? I think they would. I think their intention was more political than sexist.
With Time and Newsweek this is SOP. Remember the OJ picture they altered to show him as the creep that he is. But they did not have to alter the picture to show he was a murderer. OJ did that all by himself.

Time and Newsweek are liberal outlets. And liberals hate Conservative woman, they fear them, they can not stand a woman of strength.
