I heard on talk radio last night that they were voting and thus far, it is a no-go.
Rumor has it that the democratic party was split down the middle, half voted "NO".
I can't wait for the official release but it sounds like some Dems in the office do have a brain.
Yes, the effort to raise the DEBT ceiling failed with a bipartisan vote. It will get raised eventually, once some spending concessions are made. Democrats in the Senate have yet to pass any budget though.

The House overwhelmingly voted down an unconditional increase to the $14.3 trillion debt limit Tuesday, as the Republican majority delivered a symbolic rebuke to President Obama ahead of a meeting at the White House.

The vote was 318-97, with 82 Democrats joining every Republican in rejecting legislation that would have authorized $2.4 trillion in additional borrowing by the federal government.
