Union workers have often been more supportive of Democrats, but working people overall tend to go pretty overwhelmingly for Republicans. And private sector union workers have been the classic Reagan Democrats at times. They are very winnable for Republicans. Anyone who pays taxes is a potential win for the Republicans.
