Gee... LA and AL voted against offshore drilling! Imagine that! Perhaps the bill did not include enough (or any) regulation reform in it for their tastes. Perhaps they've seen the folly in allowing a for profit industry that can have a HUGE impact upon their local economies if/when something goes wrong, basically regulate themselves. Perhaps it's not the drilling they are against so much as the current state of it.
