Typical Democrats, stop the drilling.

We send 500 billion a year to oil Lords around the world and all the jobs that go with it, all because liberal's think oil is evil. Further the worst part is they don't care about sending all that money overseas along with the jobs, yet bitch about companies outsourcing.

"Drill Baby Drill" and bring that money back home and all the jobs that go with it.

Senate rejects GOP bill to expand, speed up offshore drilling
By Ben Geman - 05/18/11 02:58 PM ET

The Senate on Wednesday rejected Republican-backed legislation intended to speed up and expand offshore oil and gas drilling.

In a 42-57 vote, the Senate failed to move forward with the bill, which was opposed by the White House and most Senate Democrats. Republicans needed 60 votes for the measure to proceed.

Every Senate Democrat voted against the motion to proceed along with five Republicans: Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.), Mike Lee (Utah), Richard Shelby (Ala.), Olympia Snowe (Maine) and David Vitter (La.).

The legislation – which is similar to bills the House approved in recent weeks – would set deadlines for several upcoming Gulf of Mexico lease sales.

I was not shocked about this at all until the bolded part. I guess these two did not get enough buy off shenanigans type incentives to vote for the plan? The oil industry forget to send a few checks? I guess the flip side is the House will forget all about the Senate plan to kill off some tax "incentives" for the oil industry only bringing us right back to where we started. The continuation of an aimless, useless, not a chance to be effective, political vilification, and corrupt energy policy doing nothing at all to address present concerns. But look at it this way, both sides are ready for the pending campaign season. Congrats, no wonder Congress approval levels are where they are.
