Yeh, sure it was, and people can eat "fiscal responsibility" Government, just like business, is supposed to spend money in bad times that it has saved up in good...the fact that this government spent 5 trillion to bankrupt us in an unnecessary war after being left prosperity by the Democrats does not change the laws of economics (or the dictums of common sense). People are not going to buy things when they have no money, case closed, and economy ruined.
