Two facts neither party seems to have the courage to accept:

1. Taxes will have to go up
2. Spending will have to come down

The only question is how much deeper a hole we'll dig ourselves into before we as a nation find the courage to do what must be done. It's going to hurt, but it will hurt much less than pretending the problem doesn't exist until it all collapses.

Agreed in full, both parties are going to have to walk away with some real political losses for us all to really gain anything in terms of our ever growing debt. This problem will not go away and we have plenty of recent activity and reports to show more and more are waking up to the mess we are in.
