How is it redundant? At the moment there is no enforcement mechanism for Article II. That bill would have created one for the very first time.
This is an honest question. Do you really believe that the federal government would allow someone that isn't native born to be president?

I don't exactly put that much trust in our government, but I at least put enough into it to believe that something that basic wouldn't be overlooked or covered up by the feds just so someone could retain the office.

If you do actually believe that it would do something like that, then we're dealing with a much bigger problem than any lack of a birth certificate.
