The bottom line is that the Republican Congress passed an extension to keep the government from shutting down. They passed an extension to keep countless people working for at least another week.

The position that Obama has taken is that he's willing to allow the government to shut down, and that he doesn't give a flying fuck about people who don't get to go to work next week.
That's about my take on it.

They're both acting like little kids but the Democrats just put the nail in the coffin as far as I'm concerned.

I commented yesterday on how astromomically fucking stupid it is for the Republicans to be pushing to defund Planned Parenthood, since it's such a transparent idiological ploy. I still hold them responsible for getting us all tangled up in this mess.

If cutting spending is THE objective then grab your balls, show some fucking leadership, and start by cutting only programs that are important to Republicans. If you want to be a leader you head to the front and then yell "follow me" over your shoulder.

But the Republicans can't do that because they're a bunch of pussies. Not leaders, but job security obsessed bureaucrats. They'd rather get in a pissing match with the opposition over petty bullshit and then cry and blame like little girls.

Of course the Democrats are acting like fucking babies too, allowing the whole of the federal government to come to a screeching halt in order to protect a single $400 million dollar program.

But for the Republicans to put forward a plan and for the Democrats to slap their hand in order to make a point if fucking bullshit.
