This tactic was obviously illegal, otherwise they would have used it at the outset. It broke the 24-hour public meeting law in Wisconsin, and it broke the the law requiring a quorum for all budget-related bills. It'll never stand.

So the Republicans resorted to an obviously illegal tactic to push through a bill that has very little support in the state and evokes outrage in the majority of voters. They used outrageous tactics to pass their outrageous bill.
At the very best, a short-term, pyrrhic "victory."

Think it's going to come back to bite them?

Yeah, I reckon.

The American public is finally, finally waking up to what modern-day Republicans are really all about.
Yes it had to be illegal, but guess what it's going to be passed in the morning and will become law. So much for your illegal BS.

It's hell to get beat at your own game. The fact is the WI Governor was being nice trying to do it in front of everyone, he always had this avenue from day one. But he put it off until now. He's moving on. Good for him and good for the tax payer.
