Well, unfortunately, there actually are still honor killings and various barbaric practices by Muslims in America and the rest of the First World. However, again, these things are anomalies and not the norm.

Let me rephrase that, then.

I have known many Muslims personally. I have worked with Muslims, and worked for Muslims. I have never personally known a Muslim who would ever consider beating a girl because she had been raped, or even blaming a girl because she had been raped. All of the Muslims I have known personally have been relatively progressive on social issues.

Recent immigrants from benighted parts of the world may be different. That doesn't describe any of the Muslims I've known. But I'm reasonably certain that barbaric behavior by recent immigrants from benighted parts of the world is not confined to Muslims. Nor, obviously, is it universal among Muslims. To the extent it exists, it is a characteristic not of Muslims, but of recent immigrants from benighted parts of the world, regardless of their religious beliefs.
