Yeah like offshoring our oil production and sending 500 billion a yr to foreign countries and all the jobs that go with it. And lets not forget our government is offshoring 20 million jobs right here at home to illegals. You want jobs then bring our oil back home and kick out the illegals. Otherwise quite bitching, because if your serious about jobs in this country then bitch about all the jobs that are lost to illegals and offshoring our oil jobs. And another thing your sacred Obama is offshoring our green jobs for making wind mills and solar panels, that's just for starters.
If you would have read my earlier posts about illegal immigration, you would know I ranted and raved about that as well. Illegal immigration put my son in law OUT of business, as he was outbid on every contract due to illegal workers being employed by his competitors.

I am PRO AMERICAN WORKER. Always have been, and always will be. And that is why I originally registered as a Dem many decades ago. The Dems use to look out for average working Americans. They no longer do, in any great measure. IMO.

I am all for using our own oil, especially if we did not send it to world markets but used it here, period. The oil boom in the south of my State in the 70's was wonderful for my people here. It made all local business boom.

Not sure where you got the idea I was against drilling, and for illegal immigration. I am not like some Liberals. I am an old pro average working American and will never change my spots.

I happen to blast the Repubs, because I have watched what their policies have done to the average guy. I have watched what has happened since they came back into power with Reagen. I have watched them rape and pillage the average working bloke. All in the name of Capitalistic Progress.

I just happen to believe Capitalism is a tool that should be used to enrich ALL in a Nation, which means no offshoring, or outsourcing, period, UNLESS it also enriches ALL in the process. Corporate Globalization is the newest gimmick to enrich the FEW, at the demise of everyone else. That we moved to the model was a conscious, planned move, that originated with business and their cohorts in the Republican Party, that also brought some Dems along for the ride. The Dems probably went along so they could get their pork in the process.

Anyone who is stopping the drilling and sourcing for our own oil is a damn idiot. Period. Yet, if one looks ahead to the future, it might be nice to have enough reserves left in our ground to win the next world war. We need to think long term on some things such as this. For emergencies. I sure would not want to face another huge war, without our own reserves that is for sure. Supply lines are too easily disrupted, and several nukes going off in the major producers oil fields would stop that production for a long, long time. You may not have even considered that. I do.

As I said, I am not your perception of a Liberal. I am an old time Liberal, the ones that had some damn common sense driving decisions. There is no common sense today, on either side. It is blatantly obvious. I therefore find my self stuck on Ground Hog's Day, while being on the Twightlight Zone simultaneously. I am surrounded by idiots who no longer have the ability to see anything other than their own political ideology. And that is a sure fire path to doom for average folks. This ain't rocket science here, although some would want you to think it is, so you stop thinking for yourself. And let THEM do your thinking for you. Too many are too willing to let others do that, and then parrot what these jackwags say. And by doing so, they think they too will say brilliant things. The so called experts are nothing more than partisan hacks, pretending objectivity.

Common sense says, you cannot export so much of your manufacturing base and have what you had before you exported it. Common sense says the traditional service sector jobs don't provided for the standard of living that industry does. Yet, people have turned flips, did contortions to convince folks the opposite. UNLESS you understand it, and remember HOW we once were, and WHAT provided for that, you will continue to believe in the fantasy that propaganda brings.

If the Repubs would have pushed for offshoring and outsourcing during the 50's and 60's everyone would have had no trouble laughing them off, and seeing them as nutcases. Yet, a few decades changed that. The facts of the matter did not change of course, as we can easily see today. What changed was the ability of most of the folks to see the stupidity of the idea of exporting jobs.

Guess what, and this may shock some. When you export American jobs, decent jobs, people will be unemployed. And when they find employment, they will be making much less than before. Their standard of living will drop. But also, in this the elites get richer. The disparity of income from the top to the middle and bottom increases in favor of the rich. This is not new. This is a proven fact.

To say that corporate globalization was inescapable is to indulge in primordial stupidity. Anyone who believes it was inevitable is simply stupid. Gotta call a spade a spade here. And if you had one twit of common sense, you would not even question it. Political beliefs are so powerful, that it will even cause stupidity to flourish and bloom.

A suggestion. Don't any of you pro offshoring guys ever try to make a living from farming the land. You will starve to death. Those ideas you accept as the truth will send you to the grave in a quick manner. And that is the reason all of the farmers I ever knew in the old days were Democrats, albeit the OLD DEMOCRATS, the ones who felt work was noble, and never wanted charity. And they would have never robbed their fellow farmers in favor of some foreigner who wasn't even a dad gummed friend.
