Because whether all of us can maintain high standards, we are all better off for the effort.

Why? I have no problems with setting high standards. But I set them for myself, not for you.

What gives me the right to decide your standard of conduct? I prefer to dress to the left. Does that mean that therefore you must, too?

That is the part I find disturbing.

In another thread it is being discussed that Newt Gingrich is a candidate for president. This guy had mistresses, was totally unfaithful for 30 years, and when it was mentioned, Republicans said to stop picking on him.

Yet here's a Republican cruising Craigslist for a hookup and he has to resign.

Talk about double standards and hypocrisy!
