Jason, he resigned because he didn't want it to be a distraction, which it always is. Lee has a life outside of politics. Obviously, for a career politician, they have to fight and stay on no matter what the cost, as they have nothing other than the pursuit of power. Lee was a businessman and he'll go back to being a businessman.
How is it now less distracting for his family to have him sitting around the house all day, bored out of his mind?

Get back to work, I say.

Work has never failed to distract me from having distractions.

Newt cheated on his cancer-ridden wife and still went to work; the country didn't stop despite the Republicans best efforts to try to make it stop in the 90's when Clinton cheated and kept going to work.

What I hate is the moral platitude that people take on public figures. If any of us were to cheat on our partners, we would still go to our jobs even if they found out.

A relationship problem does not equal a job problem.
