I picked up on that too: I think he made a blunder stepping outside. I would have told the cop that I needed some printed warrant with specific demands before I'd even talk to him. And I wouldn't talk to him until he could prove that the County Sheriff authorized his visit to MY HOME on MY PRIVATE PROPERTY.
Exactly. This whole notion of "I've got nothing to hide, so I'll just cooperate with tyranny" thinking can only lead to bad outcomes. Make them earn their tyranny. This guy should have known better. Pick your battles? The guy thought things would have gotten worse had he not complied? Come on. Again, make them show a warrant or tell them to get bent.
