Maybe we need one of the mormons to critique the opening post.

I'm thinking in the time of Moses' teaching the Israelites, there were no "jews". The kingdom was not divided until after Solomon's time. God's Law applies to all men; the Mosaic Covenant {which was based on the Law} was made with Israelites.
