Civilians reassigned from their normal duty to serve overseas will be granted the right to return to the positions they held prior to their deployment or to a position of similar grade, level and responsibility within the same organization, regardless of the deployment length. So, what if you work for a very small firm, say 5 people, and you leave for a two year deployment. Is your employer supposed to hold your spot for you for two years? And if he hires someone to fill your shoes, he's to fire that person once you want your job back?
