In a sense this article is misleading. Australia seems to be considered as a geographic location. It is not. If it is a country then it is a group of people joined together for their own self-interest. In other words, it is a body politic. Prior to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles the country of Australia was non-existent. There was no body politic. It seems that because the King allowed an Australian to act FOR him then Australia because semi-autonomous and so dissolved the British Empire.
