Thanks to OHL for all the info she posted, i was finally able to go through all of it. Fascinating information....

Most people do not know there are many different kinds of medicine that can be practiced. In the west, we have been inculcated and brainwashed to think that there is only one Dr and one kind of medicine: M.D. = Allopathic. We have been lied to!

I found this link through the site she posted from:

http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/therapies/what_is.htm

What is Homeopathy? Homeopathic medicine treats disease using remedies that will produce the same symptoms as the disease itself. For example, if you suffer a rash on one arm, a homeopathic remedy is applied to it, which, if applied to your healthy arm, would result in the same rash.
Another good example surrounds kitchen burns. For kitchen burns, most people apply an allopathic remedy: ice. However, when the ice melts, the pain returns. Placing the burned part under hot, running water until the skin around the burn feels as hot as the burn (and holding it there for a couple of seconds) will take away the pain almost immediately. Only the brave will test this, thus only the brave will find out how well it works.
Another concept of Homeopathy, is the use of minimal (or small) dosages. Let's face it, if something you are about to take will cause the same symptoms of your disease, then it must be toxic, therefore it is prescribed in very small dosages.
Homeopathy's strength lies in the ability to treat pain and suffering for which no apparent cause can be found. Chronic pain can oftentimes be caused by psychological problems. A person suffering from chronic pain, if diagnosed by a psychiatrist as being enormously depressed and suicidal, will be given a homeopathic remedy that in a healthy person would cause that person to become enormously depressed and suicidal. Though this sounds crazy at first, it works, and successful treatments of this sort are commonplace in the homeopathic community.
Homeopathy's weakness lies in treating fractures and other injuries requiring intervention. Another of its weaknesses is that it, like Allopathy, cannot do a thing for a disorder caused by a nutritional deficiency. Only nutrition can do that.
Homeopathy has proven itself in blind study after blind study, but it still takes a lot of flack from critics and does not receive funding for research anywhere close to what Allopathic medicine gets.
Homeopathy has never killed a patient and is never contraindicated. Homeopaths will tell you it either works, or it doesn't. It just never kills the patient.
What is Allopathy? Allopathic medicine treats disease using remedies that will produce symptoms different from the disease treated. For example, because there is no cure for the common cold, allopathic remedies for colds attempt to relieve congestion, clear nasal blockage, and reduce coughing. Infections are caused by bacteria and are cured by applying antibiotics.
Allopathic medicine has come to be known as orthodox medical treatment, just as the Germ Theory of Medicine has come to be the most prominent paradigm within Allopathic medicine, though this wasn't the case when the germ theory was first introduced. The medical community laughed when Pasteur postulated his theory of germs, but soon picked up the theory because it was easy to comprehend: a germ attacks an organism; apply a medication to remove the germ.
The allopathic community is beginning to consider this: ten people come into contact with cold germs, but only two or three come down with a cold. Even Pasteur on his death bed contradicted his theories saying, ". . . the microbes are nothing. It is the terrain." In other words, lowered resistance causes disease, not the germs. Thus, many in the allopathic community are now beginning to investigate wellness medicine, incorporating studies in nutrition, life style, and spirituality.
Allopathy's strength lies in intervention. When you need a shot of penicillin, you need a shot of penicillin. When your body needs insulin, no therapy other than insulin injections will do. If surgery is required, then surgery is the solution.
Allopathy's weakness lies in the simple fact that removing the symptoms of a disease does not necessarily remove the cause of the disease. Its greatest weakness is that many of its cures are killing people. One reason many people have left conventional medicine for healthier alternatives is that death is not an acceptable side effect.
What is Natural Medicine? Natural medicine is based upon three things only.
1. What goes into your body.
2. What comes out of your body.
3. The bubble which is our body is never broken.
Often asked is, doesn't everything that goes into your body come out? The simple answer is no, we must detox our bodies, at times, to cleanse them. The more complex answer is that with the advent of post WWII chemistry, we've created some very dangerous organic compounds that go in, and don't come out no matter what we do. They simply change and adapt when attacked.
Things like this, can scare the hell out of practitioners of Natural Medicine, because there is nothing that can be done except keep the body as healthy as possible.
Natural medicine is about natural, organic, healthy, whole foods. Foods for natural medicine are high in nutritional value and their preparation is done so that the foods keep their nutritional values.
Detoxication programs are also required in Natural Medicine. The order of detox to "most" practitioners of natural medicine is: colon (and kidneys), liver, and finally the blood and other organs. Foods are also consumed that assist the detoxication process such as seaweeds, chlorella, cilantro, and superfoods.
The positive side of Natural Medicine is that this lifestyle is the healthiest of all lifestyles. The drawbacks are that in today's society, as toxic as it is, it is almost impossible to get all of the nutrition our bodies need without supplementation.
Natural Medicine does not use homeopathy, acupuncture (breaks the bubble which is our body), surgery, or vaccinations.
The removal of tumors is taken care of through diet, detox, and herbal remedies and/or poultices.
What is Naturopathy? Naturopathy is related to Natural Medicine in that the first two statements of Natural Medicine's foundation (What goes in - out of our bodies) are also Naturopathy's foundation, but naturopathy will employ Homeopathy, Herbal and Vitamin Supplementation, Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. What Naturopathy does is to extend the word Natural a bit further than a person practicing natural medicine.
Naturopaths will employ megadoses of specific herbs, vitamins, and supplements to get the body back in balance, and then get the patient back onto a regimen of food, exercise, and spiritual pursuits.
Naturopathy's strength lies in the simple fact that our creator (or nature) has given us all the tools we need to heal. Naturopathy does not kill the patient.
Naturopathy's weakness is that natural healing takes time. Modern Americans want a cure now. This is one reason why Allopathy is so popular and successful: Take a pill, and your headache is gone.
Naturopathy and Natural Medicine both assert that it took you years to get ill, you will not get better overnight.
