As a doctor, I know you'll appreciate this. Interestingly enough, I don't believe in pain medication, preferring to power through any pain rather than resort to numbing it away. I've recovered from nasal surgery, stitches in my finger and a broken arm without the aid of pain meds. That being said, the only time in my adult life I allowed myself to be put on pain meds was after an overly vigorous weekend of sex.
