Good find, everyone should try to get this to see who is doing what.
I like
NoScript
for that reason.
Sygate Personal Firewall
5.6, revealing, simple,
got an iPad, bonjour service is always working, I block it, lol, what is Apple
doing ? Using torrents use
PeerBlock
, works great, shows you who is
reading you. These programs above give me a wealth of info of who is
doing what, they eliminate potential problems too, they have helped me
fix my computers, especially sygate firewall, blocking problems and virus
created connections.
Security Task Manager
is a good one too, helps identify
malware, hijacked, hanging programs, reveals all operating on your system,
much more useful than Windows Task Manager, CTR,ALT,DEL at same time.
I have been using more portable apps on my desktop recently,
experimenting due problems, they work good, FF works same,
everything is in one place, no registry mess, etc,
been trying different browsers, have FF Legacy portable 2.0.0.20,
FF legacy 3.60 portable, Kmelon113 portable, I use that sparingly with full scripts
running, no cache, where I am having problems with FF and scripts, manual input
screens. Helps multitasking.
