If you disagree with me, then you don't believe what I have said is true. But I believe it. And I think it is true. That's what I mean by 'subjective'. Whatever is the truth for you, may or may not be the truth for me. If you recognize that kind of integrity among others--that they have a right to believe whatever they want, then you will understand that truth is whatever people believe it is. Individually, not collectively Just because everybody believes something is true doesn't make it true for you. Truth is personal. Very little of it is universally shared. I also believe that the only time the truth really matters is when it is threatening to kill you. Otherwise we humans are as fond of deceiving ourselves as much as we like to deceive others.
