I'm sure everyone would agree that the more active you keep your mind and body, the longer it will be before you "feel old". Some people seem to be more willing to give in to feeling old. They use it as an excuse to avoid doing stuff, or trying new things, or learning new things, or keeping up with current trends. There should be no such thing as "acting your age".

I think a big challenge to getting older is maintaining a sense of relevance, because society is structured to accommodate youth and people in their prime, and tends to judge by appearance, so it's easy for an older person to feel out-of-place and irrelevant. That's so sad.

Ponce, it's interesting that you spend a lot of time by yourself, yet are able to remaining interactive when you are amongst strangers. I love to see interaction between strangers because it's like a sharing of humanity.

Also, I think it helps to talk to your pets...
