Verizon ‘Civil Emergency’ Text Rattles Residents, What Does It Mean?

It seems New Jersey residents were somewhat alarmed after the wireless company sent a text alert to customers in Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, warning of a “civil emergency” and telling people to “take shelter now.”
