Well to use your example, from my perspective, South Park is fungal cream (for mental memes). Fungus usually grows best hidden in the dark.
It seems nothing is hidden (aka sacred) in South Park.

Perhaps they are just rubbing our noses in the fungal cream. I used to watch the show and found it hilarious. Then it got more pointed and I stopped watching. Around about the episode on the Margarita Ville where Kyle the Jewish boy pays off the worlds debt with his unlimitted credit card - he redeems everyone from their debts (sins). It fits with set off and discharge elements of commercial bills of exchange. I know a few people here will get what I mean. To me it was IN YOUR FACE.

the other episode which was a bit before that and I think was the begining of the end for me was the one about Raisins.
