Yes, I be jim909 in cyberspace since 1997.
I’ve never posted on a board with any other passport. I’ve always figured that was a bit ahhhhhh… whatever.
I thought about changing my policy and hiding like a rat under a pseudonym for this post, but I decided not to.
I am what I am, and will present myself as such in perpetuity and anonymity – I hope.

Thank you for your attempt at answering the question.
As far as I know, your assessment of the risk of “identity identification” is dead on.
So why do so many people claim the ability to search out and identify posters?
Not just here, it is a recurrent theme on many boards.

Am I missing something?
Can anyone tell me who I really am without some serious “push” involved?
(money for bribes, connections within law enforcement etc.)
I don’t think so, but if I’m wrong I think it important that people know the truth – actually, they need to know the truth whether I’m right or wrong.
THAT IS WHY I POSTED THIS.

And of course I was crying for attention according to Princess RK:
Say what?
I must admit your link is a good one.
For any of you that don’t know me please read RK’s link to a thread I was involved in.
I’m fine with that as a jim909 sample thread – it was my first on Rom2.

What surprises me is why RK would point to that one as a supposed dis to me.
Apparently she believes that I’m immoral because I found it idiotic to spend several thousand dollars to surgically stabilize – not repair – a cat’s arse end so that it could then spend a short life as a paraplegic kitty on training wheels - literally, I kiddy you not.
(seriously, that’s her position according to her posts.)
Gee, forgive me for my immorality and cruelty.
But gosh golly RK, how many starving children could be saved with that money?
But then, I guess some people believe that cats are more important.
Goodness, please forgive my “immoral” attitude in believing that those resources could have been better applied than in creating a rolling catasstrophy.

dave404:
There, does that fit the bill?
Relatively nice, with just a bit of a sting.

Sin:
Yea-ha!
Glad to hear your still cooking, thought you’d entered the final bunker in the deep beyond where all bullets are silver and the cross-hairs never waver.

Talk’um more later Chemosobie.
