There's no harm in making sure you have *enough* vitamin D, but be aware that too much is definitely bad for you.
And this is only a correlation. No evidence of actual *causation* yet. In other words, just because cancer patients are more likely to have low vitamin D, it doesn't necessarily follow that if you have enough vitamin D, you're less likely to become a cancer patient (or more likely to stop being a cancer patient).
Still, it *is* an interesting observation...
