Hooray! I love fresh steamed artichokes. My favorite way to prepare them is to cut off the bottom, cut off the very top, and then use a scissors to trim the thorns off the remaining leaves. I then prepare thinly sliced garlic cloves. I slide a garlic slice behind each leaf. Steam for 25 minutes or so, and enjoy! Great with garlic butter.
