What went right for you i.e. your blessings
As the year comes to an end, we all tend to reflect and make resolutions for the upcoming year. I have never been one to make resolutions, I am don't like making promises that I can't keep. So I like to focus on the things that went well for me.
For the newbies this is an opportunity for you to find a sliver of hope to hold on to. I am almost 3 years out from d-day. It does get better. I doesn't look like it in when you are in the middle of the roller coaster ride.
1)My son graduated with his degree in mechanics and has enrolled to get a business degree to open his own shop
2)My daughter had a tough year (still post A fallout) but she seems to have come out the other side
3)The kids are closer than they have ever been. There is a 6 year age difference so her brother has always been protective, but now they hang out.
4) God continues to show me the right path and he forgives me when I fall off that path(which I have done more times than I care to admit this past year)
5) I have been on this site since right after d-day. Chaser and Tijaco have been here to keep me going through thick and thin. They have become a part of my extended family.
6) I am closer (though moving really slowly for my taste
) to my degree. I made the dean's list. Got several honor awards and even sold some of my art.
7) My mental health has been more stable and the blood pressure is under control (along with the weight).
8) I am more involved with the youth at the church and I love it. They make me feel young and they are comfortable with me.
Your turn. Find something you can hold on too.
