Interesting. Colleen Savage just told me about this yesterday. We were trying to figure out how this would shake out employment-wise for musicians. We concluded having a friend of jazz in that position HAD to be a 'good thing' but how good remains to be seen.

Expo 86 was a very busy year for a lot of musicians in Vancouver (I worked literally every day, 7 days a week, for almost the entire year). I hope 2010 brings similar prosperity.
