Well in life I beleive that there are occasions when for political correctness the whites often come off worse, with 'other races' being treated with kid gloves for fear of being accused of racism.

Indeed.
I guess if you are black and a racist, it is okay and no one dares to say anything, whereas if you are white and have slip of the tongue, you will forever be a target of moronic liberal swines.
