I was wondering what you actually were so offended about as well. Seems he more alluded to the possibility of human aggression and certainly that is a possibility with all dogs but often worse than most if it's a pit bull. Then there was the "don't make good pets thing" ... but other than that, I dunno.

The thing is ... we learn these dogs could be "hot" from the start OR fine with other dogs for up to 2-4 years before dog aggression manifests itself ... if ever. Of course we also learn that dog aggression and human aggression are not the same.

Now, I'm no behaviorist ... but I've often wondered ... since dog aggression is really basically genetics, wouldn't it stand to reason that other aggressions are as well? ... and if it sometimes takes years before a dog "suddenly" turns-on to other dogs ... couldn't it also possibly take years before a dog becomes human aggressive if "genetically faulty"?
