I've yet to actually have trouble with my dogs being off lead illegally, because they are extensively trained.

There were several times we had cops stop at the tennis court (partly because it was night time, I'm sure), and let us continue with what we were doing. And once time when we were at an elementary school at night. I think cops are just relieved when they get a call at 1 a.m. for "suspicious characters" somewhere random, and it turns out to just be some chicks exercising their well behaved dogs
I do the same. We have an Elementary school across the street with a soccer field, football field, basketball court and baseball field basically all one big area and the back gate lets out into a wooded area that backs up to a cow pasture and orange grove. Cops have shown their lights on us and then just kept going. I guess making sure we aren't doing any damage or breaking into the school!

My stand by excuse is I'm chasing my dogs b/c they got out the gate! The orange grove owner caught us one time and he just asked if they were all mine and when I said yes, He said I can't handle my one! Well maybe let him come run in your Orange Grove and get rid of some of his energy!
