I don't think it's silly to wonder how his feet must feel. I understand human and dogs have different feet but I'm sure if the cement is hot, it must be hot on their feet.
I don't think so either. I usually haul dogs in the back of the pickup but when it gets hot like this I don't. That metal in the bed gets hot quick and it just goes straight into the dog. It's too hot to put your hand on comfortably so I know it would burn if you had to stand or lay on it. If I do haul one It's in the pickup with the rubber mats in the back and in the dog box where they can get some shade.
