Currently, I'm off from school so I'm home all day. I have been looking for a job because I go to law school and the books alone bleed me dry. My daughter is in the best program in the area. It gives young children a real edge when they start pre-school; so she's gone from 9 to 2:30. My husband leaves the house at 5am and he's usually home by 6pm (he's a contractor/carpenter). This gives me a lot of time to focus on our puppy. He has become my shadow.
Even when my daughter comes home we do activities together. We go for walks, I try and teach her how to be responsible with a dog and the like.
We have a large backyard which has a 6ft fence (thanks to this forum I now know this must be replaced), my daughter, the puppy and I spend a lot of time in the yard. I usually weed my flower and vegetable garden (which includes corn) while the dog chases my daughter around. My daughter also likes to play fetch with the dog for a good hour or so.
So all in all I guess we are pretty focused on the dog. We have a full size bed (which I can't replace because I bought the most beautiful bedroom set) and all of us sleep in it together. Our 3 year old daughter refuses to sleep alone, so I'm usually occupying a little sliver of the end of the bed with the dog sleeping on my legs. Unfortunately my husband is a big guy, 6'4 220 pounds, in the middle of the night he tosses and turns which leads to me and the dog falling off the bed.

It seems like I spend about 40 hours a day keeping her highness fed, watered, amused etc. But it only seems that way. My job is cut back to 3 days a week right now and the other days I spend a lot of time outside working in my flower beds and yard and Sadie is my constant companion. She has toys and sticks and the occasional critter to amuse her. We have over an acre she can roam in and there are vineyards on one side and behind our house and she's allowed to wander in them for a ways, so she amuses herself fairly well. And she makes sure I get plenty of opportunity to throw her balls for her.

If we're just sitting outdoors she is out there with us too of course. And she goes on 90% of our gator rides through the fields too. She has her rug for the back and her water jug and dish, so she's quite the 4 wheeler.

All in all we spend quite a bit of time with her.

Good grief - I wish some nice family like us would adopt me. Her life sounds pretty carefree and wonderful.
Please adopt me. I'm sick of being everyones servant/maid.
I am super friendly and young. UTD on shots and have good manners. I'm 110 pounds, golden long coat. I enjoy playing fetch, cuddling and long walks on the beach.
I could even act like a guard dog, just give me a shot gun
