My dogs are neglected based on some of the stuff I'm reading here
I'm home a lot, and the dogs are always around me, so I guess that counts. Although they sleep most of the day..
I don't have the time OR the energy (or the body, my knees/lower legs are terrible) to devote hours upon hours of exercise on my dogs. We go to the park a few times a week (weather dependent) and they run easily 3mi. each time; we stay for about an hour, maybe a little more. On the days we don't go to the park, I try to take them out front of my house to a field and play fetch for 20-30min. That's it! I wouldn't have the patience to sit in front of a treadmill with them for 2hrs. LOL.
They do other activities at times though, but those aren't daily things. Like Sako is in agility class once a week right now, and Wilson goes to the dock to practice every so often. Sometimes I take them to swim at my parents, or we go to the beach, just depends.
