What is it with me lately? It seems like bad thing after bad thing keeps happening lately. First Kahlee decides she isn't going to play nice with others any more, and now Krayon has Kennel Cough..... WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!?

Last night, around 10pm, Krayon kinda coughed. I didn't think too much of it, until it was happening every 2-3 minutes. And after the first few times, he started hacking up FLEM..... Spit like mucus. Well, I gave him some water and it seemed to sooth his coughing. Then later he started it again. So I started to think that maybe he was having hunger pukes. So I fed him. Everything was staying down and he stopped coughing for a while. So we fell asleep on the couch together so I could keep a closer eye on him. (When my babies and pups are sick, I sleep as light as a feather). Long story short, I was up and down ALL night long. Well I woke up to him coughing pretty loud, so I jumped up and brought his water bowl to him. He drank some water, and it calmed him down. I called the vet and they said bring him in immediately. I didn't even stop to think at that point..... lol.... I just grabbed his leash and ran him out the door. No wallet, no money, and still in my pajamas...... lol. I usually keep a copy of my license and I have multiple debit cards for the checking accounts in my squad car, so I didn't worry about any of that SMALL stuff..... lol. ( I so forgot that I took those out about a week ago......oops.....lol).

Well I got him to the vet, and they took him back and did some x-rays. No blockage, so they did a heart worm test. No heart worms. Well the only other thing they can add it up to be is Kennel Cough. REALLY? What the fuck? He is current on all his vaccines, but they said that they can still get it. Well, the only place Krayon has been that other dogs would even POSSIBLY be at is the water park I took them to last weekend. That and feeder supply..... So, that seals the deal with ever taking them to a place like that again. Or at least until he is older and has a better immune system.

Well, when it rains it poors.....

Please keep him in your thoughts. I hope that this all clears up fast.....

So now all 3 dogs are being treated to prevent them from getting it, and they can't be around each other for the next 2 weeks. So this SUCKS!!!!!
