I don't bother vaccinating for KC any more... either vaccine protects against limited strains for a limited time.. so it's not worth my time or $$ to vaccinate, when treatment is (9 times out of 10) cheaper. I've gone thru KC w/ my guys only once (KNOCK ON WOOD!), and it wasn't too awful... no worse than a cold for us.

That's my thought too. I don't even bother vaccinating Wilson & Piper anymore.

The time they got it, I just treated with a cough suppressant (which was like $10) from the vet. Never did antibiotics because like I said before, it's a virus.. so it'd be like us taking them if we had a common cold. Plus I don't like pumping my dogs full of meds. when they aren't necessary.
