I work in a dog grooming shop, so I've seen some dogs that are horrid when it comes to nails.

My dogs are all at the very least tolerable when I do their nails. I don't think I could let them live with me if they didn't accept it.

Lucy has SUPER long quicks, so lately I've been tipping them once a week, and yesterday I took her into work for a bath, so I dremeled her nails down. She wasn't pleased, but she sat there and let me do it while she tried to stick her tongue in my mouth.

Damas's nails don't really grow that much (which I think is weird for a Rottie...). Maybe every 2 or 3 months I'll tip them. But he's not keen on it. Last time I ended up flipping him on his side to do it, and I had to poke him and say "Knock it off" every couple of nails because he kept trying to grumble and wriggle away. But he let me dremel them yesterday after a little struggling.

Ethel gives NO fucks. She got a full groom yesterday, and the worst thing she did was try to lay down on the table and drool all over my stuff.

Taz... eh. He's a weird little fuck, but after a little work he lets me dremel his nails. I haven't had to cut them yet because all the skittering around he does keeps his nails pretty short.

The worst so far has probably been my little ferret Pandora, last year I wanted a blood glucose run on her and they couldn't get any blood out of her, she bit and peed on them and turned into a little vicious weasel. This year she needed a implant put in so they just knocked her out rather than fight with her and got blood then. And she's all of 1.5 pounds!
