I let Veronica walk out in front on a loose lead. She likes to sniff around and I'll let her stop and sniff but if she's taking too long; I'll give her a tug and a "let's go".

If we are walking in a high traffic area with allot of people around or if I see we will be crossing paths with people I call her close to my left side...otherwise she would try to do a "walk by sniffing" of the people. We also give other dogs a wide berth and practice leave it, watch me, shut your mouth, they're not bothering you, be polite.
