Pit bulls, especially young pit bulls, play very roughly. They also don't seem to display any manners. I've seen many a pit bull puppy get snapped at or told off by an older dog for not respecting boundaries. Until Opie was about a year old, he had the most obnoxious habit of biting at the mouths of other dogs. Just constantly biting at and licking their faces. My older dog had to put him in his place a good few times before he got the hint.

Just make sure you only allow your dog to play with very tolerant and playful dogs. Or you may end up with a fight on your hand. An overly playful dog and an intolerant dog can very well end up with two angry dogs. And let him play with bigger dogs. They'll appreciate his craziness more than a small puppy will.
