No accidents don't happen, there steroids and crates the only reason 2 dogs would come in contact is if someone is being irresponsible just the same as crate/rotate.

If you do a search on here there are a few threads regarding this stating the pros/cons probably better to do a search then everyone repeating the same old.

If you can't be responsible and keep him intact then yes wait till at least a year to get him fixed. It's a lot less to do with head size more to do with his body growing at the right speed and his bones growing properly.
