Can I ask if you have ever before attempted to actually teach your dog the correct way to walk on a leash? Or have you simply resorted to negatively reinforcing unwanted behavior? If you HAVE attempted to teach (not correct), what were your methods? Where do you believe you went wrong? How long did you attempt to teach your dog?

The reason I'm asking these things is because people use these tools like they're magic wands and still don't understand that their dogs have absolutely no idea what it really means to walk on a loose leash, where 'heel position' is, and why they should be there.
