Yes midnight is the big dog in the picture.. he is bully/lab mix. As for giving him back to her,I do not think she will push to get him back.. with her current situation, I can not let him go back to her (she is without electric/gas in the home and has a child to think of right now instead of worrying about him).. I've learned even the best of people can become pushy and mean if given an alternative.. so it was more of *hes safe, in a good home, worry about your living situation right now* thing instead of a *you'll never get him back* type thing.. The other dog did get removed from the HS as well.. I am not sure if the other dog is back with her or a family members of hers right now.. but from my understanding - her family went and got him out.. My only concern with her other than her utilities is the fact that she could have gotten him out and chose to leave him there.. then all of a sudden that I got him out - wants him back home! so yes, he is going to stay with me. We will get his shots and vet checked next week.. then have him chipped! I've made tons of mistakes in my past (tink was my biggest one.. poor girl had to be Guinea pig I learned many lessons with the hard way), but the only thing I can do, is make it right with the ones ahead of us... when we did make the mistake of not getting her spayed and a stray got in the yard and got her pregnant, we vowed to take responsibility of all her pups if ever we needed to.. and by darn, I mean to stick by that! Midnight was happy to be out of the HS.. he had zoomies for 2 hours! Now is asleep in the crate.. but as any dog from the HS, I worry about what he could have caught while there, so vet first thing Monday! If she tries to push it, we will stand our ground and fight for him.. (I do not think she has much grounds to stand on at this point).. but as I said.. I do not think she will push it..
